MASwings aircraft crashed landed into ditch
MIRI: A MASwings Twin Otter aircraft, with 19 people on board, veered 40 metres off the airport runway upon landing and crashed into a ditch yesterday.
However, all 17 passengers and two crew, escaped without any injuries in the incident which occurred at about 2.30pm.
MASswings spokesperson said the Marudi airport runway is still open for flight operations and they have sent a team from Miri for recovery operations.
Marudi police chief Deputy Superintendent Abu Bakar Mokhtar said flight MH3562 landed during clear skies. He said investigations were being carried out by the Department of Civil Aviation.
